We are back once again to give you an update on the awesome RESURA joshi pro wrestling fantasy league, this time covering all of the happenings from the month of September! While there wasn’t really a lot in the form of tournaments to talk about, there were still quite a few shows, meaning that there were a lot of points to go around to the various teams in our league.
The total amount of points scored by all of the teams in total for the month was 1,634 which is up from last month, and it should give you an idea of how active the scene was, along with how many titles changed hands during that time frame.
In terms of points this month by a single wrestler, there were seven wrestlers who scored 30 or more points, which is quite a good number. No one eclipsed the 40-point mark, but considering the fact that that’s only happened once so far this year, I guess it shouldn’t be much of a surprise. You’ll see a few of the usual suspects in that top seven that you’ve seen up there quite a bit during this season, but you’ll also see a few wrestlers who are finding themselves up there for the first time as well.
Leading the charge for the league this month was the current World of Stardom champion Saya Kamitani who continued her strong reign of terror over STARDOM while scoring 36 points. The fact that she was able to pick up AZM’s New Japan Strong championship as well right before the end of the month definitely helped push those numbers. Tied for second place with 35 was one of the usual suspects SAKI and someone who we haven’t really seen up this high so far Tae Honma, who is going out with quite a bang as her career comes to a close during the month of October. Kaori Yoneyama continued her very strong year by scoring 34 points this month, and she was followed by the trio of Haruka Umesaki, Maika Ozaki, and Ayame Sasamura who all scored 30 or more points to round out that top seven.
In terms of team points, I can finally report that my team is not dead yet as they pulled out one hell of a month racking up 221 points this month, which was 36 points better than the second-place team “Mad Dog Military” who scored 186. After losing some ground over the past few months, it was important for my team to have a strong month to keep me up near the front, so this is exactly what the doctor ordered! For once the current first place team overall the “Outlet Wolfpack” found themselves in the middle of the pack for team scoring, which means that quite a few teams behind them were able to gain some points. As you’ll be able to see down below though, they still have a decent sized lead, so they are still in the driver’s seat.
The big loser for the month was unfortunately Scott Edwards’ team “The Icon & Friends” who scored a very meager 106 points, which is very disappointing for a team that was so good early in the year. Even though Mayu has been able to score a lot of points since joining Marigold, it seems that a lot of the rest of the team hasn’t followed suit. The two teams that finished right in front of Scott’s team, “Alex’s Warbitches” and “Fart Editing” at least were able to score 135+ points.
With all of that said, let’s take a look at the current overall team standings after the month of September…
TEAM STANDINGS
Outlet Wolfpack – 1607 Points (1st)
Mad Dog Military – 1592 Points (2nd)
Oedo Tai – 1549 Points (3rd)
TCS 4 Life – 1457 Points (4th)
Rebel X Run – 1442 Points (5th)
God’s Sigh – 1312 Points (7th)
The Icon & Friends – 1304 Points (6th)
Casa Royale – 1255 Points (9th)
Alex’s Warbitches – 1242 Points (8th)
Fart Editing – 1144 Points (10th)
Unlike last month, there was a bit of switching positions between teams during the month of September. The top five stayed where they were, but below that there was a good bit of shuffling. Unfortunately, by this time of the year, a lot of the teams have separated themselves from the next in the standings, so there’s only so much you can move up. Sixth and seventh switched positions as “God’s Sigh” was able to overtake “The Icon & Friends”, though the points difference is still only eight! We also saw the ninth place “Casa Royale” pass eighth place “Alex’s Warbitches” but similarly, the points difference is only 13 between those two teams, so by this time next month, it could simply change back again.
When we move our attention over to singles match wins by a wrestler for the month, there was a clear leader of the pack this time around with Ayame Sasamura representing “Alex’s Warbitches” winning six singles matches which accounted for 18 of Sasamura’s 30 points this month. There was a five-way tie for second place with a score of four singles match wins between Cohaku, Haruka Umesaki, KAZUKI, Totoro Satsuki, and Miku Aono.
When we move to the tag team division, we had maybe a surprise leader of the pack Lady C representing the team “Fart Editing”. She racked up a total of nine tag team victories which is quite a high number! Her current tag team partner, who will be teaming with her when they go for the Goddesses of Stardom championship, Ami Sourei, finished in second place with eight tag team victories. Ranna Yagami, Misa Kagura, and Mei Suruga all tied for third place with seven tag team wins a piece.
With only three months remaining, it’s going to be a tight race all the way to the finish line, especially for first place. While you can definitely see that some teams don’t have much of a chance to fight for the league victory, there’s still quite a bit of bragging rights on the line even within those middle positions in the league. With all of that said though, let’s take a look at the breakdown of each team.

POSITION: 1st | TOTAL POINTS: 1607 | SEPTEMBER POINTS: 168
After having many months where this team seemed unbeatable, they finally slipped up a bit only scoring 168 points in the month of September which was only good enough to be sixth best, with the other teams in the top five overall all able to gain points on them. While it’s not all doom and gloom, Pedro will need his team to get things together in the next few months, otherwise he could see his lead slip through his fingers. Top to bottom though, this team is still very strong, and I can definitely see them rebounding in the month of October.
Leading the way this month was the winner of the Marigold DREAM STAR league Miku Aono who scored a very impressive 28 points, which was no doubt helped by the 10 points she gained from winning the tournament and the singles matches she won on her way to the finals since a lot of her tournament matches happened in September. Not too far behind her in second place was HANAKO who continued her strong year by picking up the Future of Stardom championship. Her 26 points showed that not only did she pick up a new title, but she also had quite a good month before that as well. There was only one other wrestler who scored above 15 points on the team this month, and that was Tomoka Inaba who currently leads this team in points overall for the year.
The key to this team’s strong year has been having good scoring throughout the line up from the top all the way to the bottom, but unfortunately this month the same couldn’t be said. Pedro had eight wrestlers score 10 or less points, which is a few more than usual at least. While no wrestlers scored zero, you know that he’d love to get more out of three of his heavy hitters, Takumi Iroha, Utami Hayashishita, and Suzume who all scored less than 10 points this month. Hopefully for his sake, this will be a slight speedbump rather than a pattern.
With a team that includes wrestlers like Utami Hayashishita, Takumi Iroha, Momo Watanabe, and Miku Aono, you would think that they’d be the ones leading a possible league winning team, but instead it’s the unlikely duo of Tomoka Inaba and HANAKO who find themselves in the top two spots for the team this year. Tomoka’s 139 is a pretty great number for a wrestler who hasn’t found a ton of success in the biggest joshi company in the world after all. HANAKO has been enjoying the strong push that STARDOM has been giving her thus far this year, and she’s used it to acquire 128 points which is still a strong showing considering the fact that HANAKO is still new enough in her career to be able to go after the Future of Stardom Championship.
CURRENT POINTS
Tomoka Inaba – 139 Points (17)
HANAKO – 128 Points (26)
Utami Hayashishita – 127 Points (5)
Mizuki – 120 Points (11)
Takumi Iroha – 120 Points (4)
Saya Iida – 117 Points (12)
Suzume – 112 Points (8)

While the “Mad Dog Military” wasn’t able to capture the top spot this month in team points, they did finish second and only lost some of their lead to the team in third place “Oedo Tai”. The important thing is that they were able to gain almost 20 points on the league leader, which has brought them within 15 points from taking the lead overall. It will be important for them to not allow third place to get too close, because if those three teams are bunched up, a first or a third-place position could come down to a few points.
Tell me if you’ve heard this one before, Kaori Yoneyama led the team in points for the month! Her 34 points was good enough for third best in the league during the month of September, and her overall strong year continues along with it! Second place on the team this month was the current Regina Di Wave champion Cohaku who scored a very impressive 26 points as she takes her place as the new “Ace” of Pro Wrestling WAVE. Starlight Kid also had a strong month procuring 21 points as she continues to defend her Wonder of Stardom Championship quite often.
There were 10 wrestlers on the “Mad Dog Military” who scored 10 or less points this month which includes Maya Yukihi who has now returned to wrestling but is still stuck on Injured Reserve until Dylan moves her out of it, meaning that she’s losing out on the few points she could have gained. AZM was the big-time player on the team who stood out as being one of the bottom 10 on the roster this month as she was only able to gain nine points. Ruaka also had a pretty subpar month only scoring four points after securing the Goddesses of Stardom Championships at the end of the month of July. The lack of defenses definitely hasn’t helped her case.
Kaori Yoneyama continues to lead the entire league in points with a whopping 237 points which is still 30 points more than the second-place wrestler in the league SAKI. Starlight Kid’s 181 points scored this year is also quite a strong number and I doubt she’ll be slowing down anytime soon as her Wonder of Stardom Championship reign continues to rage on. Dylan has also gotten quite a strong year so far out of AZM, Saori Anou, and Cohaku as well!
CURRENT POINTS
Kaori Yoneyama – 237 Points (34)
Starlight Kid – 181 Points (21)
AZM– 152 Points (9)
Saori Anou – 149 Points (18)
Cohaku – 132 Points (26)
Itsuki Aoki – 105 Points (10)
Mei Seira – 100 Points (12)
Ruaka – 99 Points (4)
Hiroyo Matsumoto – 91 Points (10)
MIRAI – 87 Points (14)
CHIAKI – 81 Points (8)
Sakura Hirota – 56 Points (6)
Kizuna Tanaka – 50 Points (8)
Hiragi Kurumi – 45 Points (2)
Chikayo Nagashima – 25 Points (3)
Maya Yukihi – 2 Points (0) – Injured Reserve

POSITION: 3rd | TOTAL POINTS: 1549 | SEPTEMBER POINTS: 221
Finally “Oedo Tai” had the great month they needed to get back into the thick of things when it comes to the race for first place in the league. With a very strong score of 221 points, they were able to gain some ground on both teams ahead of them in the standings. I am pretty sure it was one of the first times all year that the team had two wrestlers score over 30 points, and four wrestlers total scoring over 20 points. They always say that you need your best players to be your best players in sports in order to win, and this fantasy league is no different.
While my team may not have had any wrestlers score over 30 points last month, this month we had two wrestlers achieve that goal in Saya Kamitani and Maika Ozaki. Kamitani’s 36 points was good enough for first place in the entire league this month, and Ozaki’s 32 tied her at fourth place. It’s not normal for my team to have two wrestlers score so high in the same month, so I definitely have to enjoy it while I can. Rina Yamashita and Arisu Endo also both had great months scoring 20-plus points which is something I don’t think Arisu Endo had done for me thus far. That was obviously helped by her winning the International Princess Championship in TJPW, a title that her Daisy Monkey tag team partner Suzume had held earlier on in the year.
If you don’t count the retired wrestler in my injured reserve spot, I only had six wrestlers who scored under 10 points this month, and only one of those wrestlers scored an absolute zero which was surprisingly Miyuki Takase. So far this year, Takase had been a strong part of my team, so seeing her score zero surprised me, but my hope is that she’ll get back to where she was before and score quite a few more points during the month of October. I would have also liked to see a bit more out of Hyper Misao as well, but with her recently losing the Princess Tag Team Championships with her partner Shoko Nakajima, it seems that points might be a bit hard to come by for her.
For a good portion of the year it was a neck and neck race between Saya Kamitani and Rina Yamashita when it comes to overall points for the year, but with such a strong month of September, Saya Kamitani has furthered her lead on her teammate to 20 points as she nears the big 200-point milestone that only a few other wrestlers have achieved thus far. Hazuki has fallen off a bit with her doing a lot more work outside of STARDOM rather than within, meaning that she isn’t always getting the same active work schedule as one would think. Still though, she’s put together a very solid year scoring 137 points in total, which makes me happy enough that I made her my first-round pick.
CURRENT POINTS
Saya Kamitani – 194 Points (36)
Rina Yamashita – 174 Points (27)
Hazuki – 137 Points (17)
Maika Ozaki – 122 Points (32)
Miyuki Takase – 117 Points (0)
Nanami Hatano – 110 Points (15)
Kaho Kobayashi – 108 Points (11)
Hyper Misao – 101 Points (8)
Natsu Sumire – 79 Points (18)

Kouki Amarei – 61 Points (14)

The good news is that Dave’s team gained a few points on the top team in the league the “Mad Dog Military”, the unfortunate news is that both second and third place teams furthered their lead on “TCS 4 Life” as they both scored more points this month. Still though, everything is not all over, and if this team can put together three very good months, anything is honestly possible.
There was a tie at the top of the standings for monthly points on this team between two members of the STARDOM faction H.A.T.E. with both Rina and Konami scoring a very impressive 28 points. Rina has been a very bright spot for the team this season, and ever since Dave picked up Konami, she’s been quite hot as well, scoring a good amount of points each month. Two prominent freelancers in VENY and Kakeru Sekiguchi both scored 20 or more points this month as well, which is something we have to show some love to.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, there was nine wrestlers who scored 10 or less points during the month, including prominent names such as Giulia, Sumika Yanagawa, Azusa Inaba, and Cherry to name a few. Dave had been getting a good amount of points even from the depth of his roster up until now, but unfortunately, they seemed to let him down a bit even though four of his wrestlers had a really great month. Hopefully those wrestlers will be able to turn things around a bit in October!
While Azusa had a rough month of October, she’s still leading this team in overall points for the year with a strong 155. Kakeru Sekiguchi is currently sitting in second on the team with 143 points which is definitely helped by her three title wins this year and her always being quite active on the joshi indie scene. VENY, Rina, and Sumika Yanagawa round out the top five for the team, with all of them scoring at least 100 points.
CURRENT POINTS
Azusa Inaba – 155 Points (4)
Kakeru Sekiguchi – 143 Points (20)
VENY – 122 Points (22)
Rina – 121 Points (28)
Sumika Yanagawa – 106 Points (5)
Giulia – 100 Points (10)
Cherry – 94 Points (2)
Unagi Sayaka – 92 Points (12)
Nagisa Nozaki – 87 Points (4)

For the second month in a row Xavi’s team scored exactly 175 points, which is good enough for fourth overall in the league for the month of September. Much like “TCS 4 Life” right above them, they did gain a few points on the first-place team, however they also lost a few to the rest of the teams ahead of them in the standings. They are still only 15 points behind fourth place however, meaning that after October they could very easily find themselves in fourth place trying to track down the top three teams ahead of them. It would also take quite a collapse for them to fall down to sixth place considering how big of a lead they have on them currently.
It seems like a very regular thing at this point in time to point out that SAKI had a great month for Xavi’s team, scoring an incredible 35 points, which was only one behind the wrestler who scored the most points this month Saya Kamitani. There was only one other wrestler who was able to eclipse the 20-point mark this month, and that was Misa Kagura who has also put together quite a strong year, though it is definitely nowhere near SAKI’s year to say the least. Still though, if you can get 24 points from Misa each and every month, I’m pretty sure any team owner would gladly accept!
If you don’t include Tsukina Umino, who’s on injured reserve for the team, Xavi had 10 wrestlers score under 10 points this month, which is probably the biggest reason why the team wasn’t able to gain more ground on the teams ahead of them. Surprisingly, Mio Momono scored zero points this month, which is not what anyone would expect after she came back from injury, and Riara overall has been a disappointment points wise for the team only scoring 11 for the entire year. Xavi also had to expect more out of one of his strongest wrestlers this year Mai Sakurai who this time found herself in that bottom ten who scored a meager amount.
One of the good things for this team is the fact that they are the only team currently who has two wrestlers that have scored over 200 points this year, SAKI and Makoto. What makes it even more impressive is that there’s only three wrestlers in the entire league who has eclipsed that mark. Having two wrestlers on the same team accomplish that is quite special, though it shows both a strength and weakness for the team as they also have couple of wrestlers who have scored under 30 points which definitely drags them down a bit.
CURRENT POINTS
SAKI – 207 Points (35)
Makoto – 205 Points (18)
Misa Kagura – 159 Points (24)
Mai Sakurai – 158 Points (8)
Chihiro Hashimoto – 113 Points (19)
Aya Sakura – 109 Points (8)
Yuna Manase – 91 Points (8)
AKARI – 84 Points (8)
Yuna Mizumori – 65 Points (9)
Ayako Sato – 63 Points (9)
Chika Goto – 59 Points (8)
Hanako Nakamori – 53 Points (9)
KAZUKI – 35 Points (12)
Mio Momono – 26 Points (0)
Riara – 11 Points (0)
Tsukina Umino – 4 Points (0) – Injured Reserve

POSITION: 6th | TOTAL POINTS: 1312 | SEPTEMBER POINTS: 153
While Ryan’s team may have only had the seventh best score for the month, it was good enough for them to pass the former sixth place team “The Icon & Friends” because of how abysmal their month was. There were definitely a few bright spots for the team this month, but still far too many lagging behind for them to really make a big play towards the top of the standings overall. At this point, this team is probably just playing to keep their sixth-place finish, but finishing in the middle of the pack is far better than finishing at the bottom, so I’m sure they will take what they can get.
While the first pick overall in our draft Sareee did put together a good month scoring 22 points, it was only good enough for second place on the team in scoring for September. The big winner on this team for this month was the DIANA standout Haruka Umesaki who has been on fire ever since she’s come back from her injury early on in the year. Her 32 points was good enough to have her tied for fourth place overall in the league for the month, and if she can continue to put up months like this, she’ll be a big reason why this team stays up where they are in the standings. Let’s also show a little love to Ami Sourei who had a very solid 20 points this month on the back of a lot of tag team match wins as she’s been a strong force in STARDOM ever since coming back from her year-long injury hiatus.
We talked about the good, so now let’s talk about the not so good. If you don’t count Maika who is on injured reserve, “God’s Sigh” had nine wrestlers who scored under 10 points this month with ACT Yasukawa putting up the proverbial goose egg. The team was also hurt by Syuri being away for most of the month with her injury, though now things are looking up a bit since she has returned to action in STARDOM. Hopefully over this next month the two great veterans Jaguar Yokota and Ryo Mizunami will also be able to put up a lot more points.
After a slow start to the year, Sareee is now proving why she was the first pick overall in the draft as she leads her team with a very strong 141 points. The fact that she’s a freelancer and you never know how much she’ll be working is definitely a drawback to having her, but I feel like when she has wrestled, she has usually won her matches, which has helped her amass a pretty good amount of points so far. While Shoko didn’t have a dominant month by any standards, she still finds herself in second place on the team in overall points for the year with a very solid 126. Even though she recently lost the Princess Tag Team Championships with her partner Hyper Misao, she still does have the MLW Women’s Championship to defend which will help her continue to rack up points.
CURRENT POINTS
Sareee – 141 Points (22)
Shoko Nakajima – 126 Points (12)
Natsuko Tora – 117 Points (14)
Haruka Umesaki – 108 Points (32)
Syuri – 91 Points (4)
Ryo Mizunami – 86 Points (6)

Unfortunately for Scott and his team it’s been quite a slide down towards the bottom of the rankings over the past few months, and while I don’t believe that his team will continue to struggle, it’s definitely still a possibility. While his team is very talented on paper, the results simply haven’t been where they have needed to be, and that will need to turn around fast while he’s still close to sixth place in the rankings.
One of the major issues the team had this month is that not a single member of the team eclipsed the 20-point mark, and his team was the only one who had struggles that bad. Ranna Yagami lead the team with 17 points scored which is a bit of a surprise considering all of the heavy hitters he has on the team. The young “super rookie” Seri Yamaoka was the only other wrestler on the team to score above 15 points, making her second place on the team this month.
Without even counting the wrestler Xena who has been on his injured reserve list for the entirety of the year thus far, Scott had 11 wrestlers score 10 or fewer points, which definitely helps explain such a low monthly point total. Natsumi Showzuki is still out with a long-term injury, which makes her zero points understandable for the month, but the team was also hurt by Maki Itoh leaving TJPW and not doing anything after that which left her with zero points as well. Hopefully with her having some bookings in America this next month, she’ll be able to start racking up points again. Scott also needs more from the likes of Hanan and Suzu Suzuki who both had a very quiet month.
“The Icon Of Joshi Puroresu” Mayu Iwatani is still leading the way for the team with a very respectable 151 points scored this year. She’s definitely been leading her team by example ever since moving on to wrestle for Marigold. The young trio of Miyu Amasaki, Seri Yamaoka, and Victoria Yuzuki trail not too far behind her, all scoring over 130 points thus far, and showing why they are future possible cornerstones of the business.
CURRENT POINTS
Mayu Iwatani – 151 Points (12)

After having a rough month in August “Casa Royale” really turned things around by having the fifth most team points for the month! The scoring for the team has been pretty inconsistent thus far, but if they could put together more months like this, they could even make a play for seventh or sixth by the end of the year.
The real lightning rod for the team this month was Tae Honma who scored 35 points, making her tied for second best in the entire league. The unfortunate thing about that is that she’s finishing up her career in the middle of October, meaning that another strong month like this is very unlikely to say the least. Still though, you have to enjoy it while you can, right? Koguma was the second-best wrestler on the team this month scoring a strong 21 points that was no doubt helped by winning the CMLL-Japan Women’s Championship which gained her an extra 10 points. It’s unfortunate how she won it, but a win is a win.
While Fernando was able to get pretty good scoring from his lineup this month overall, he did still have a few too many wrestlers who scored 10 points or less, eight to be exact. One of the wrestlers that was a real killer was Ayano Irie who scored zero points, though I guess that can’t be a big surprise considering she’s only scored 31 points all year so far. Fernando also didn’t get much from Miyu Yamashita who had been a very strong member of the team thus far but seemingly had a bit of a down month.
Fernando’s team finally had a couple more wrestlers pass the 100-point plateau with Tae Honma, and Koguma doing the honors. Mei Suruga is still leading the charge on the team with 133 points which is the lowest top team point leader in the league at this point in time. She was obviously be hurt by the fact that she lost her championship in ChocoPro, but considering how important she is to that company, I have a feeling she’ll be winning a lot of matches one way or another even without the title. Obviously, like I mentioned before, Tae Honma’s point scoring pace will come to halt eventually, but the hope is that the likes of Miyu Yamashita, Natsupoi, and Ibuki Hoshi can start helping to push this team forward as they get closer to the end of the year.
CURRENT POINTS
Mei Suruga – 133 Points (14)
Tae Honma – 131 Points (35)
Koguma – 110 Points (21)

It was a bit of a difficult month for Alex and their warbitches as they ranked eighth in monthly team score, which enabled “Casa Royale” to pass them in the standings. While they are comfortably above last place by about 100 points, I doubt that Alex would want to have their team finish in ninth place, though with only three months left there may not be a lot of room to move upwards unfortunately. Still though, it’s all about finishing strong, so hopefully this team has the horses to do so!
This month was led by Ayame Sasamura who represents 2AW as she was not only very active on the scene but also picked up her fair share of victories while she was at it. Her point total of 30 was good enough for fifth best in the league! Coming in second place with another strong month under her belt was Manami Katsu, by far the star of Ice Ribbon this year who scored 25 points. Sure, Ice Ribbon has been having its fair share of attendance issues, but Manami Katsu can’t be blamed for it as she puts on great performances each and every single show.
Alex had 11 wrestlers score under 10 points this month including two wrestlers who scored zero in Akane Fujita and the somewhat recent retired wrestler Yoshiko Hasegawa. Alex also got very little out of a lot of their best wrestlers so far this year with YuuRI, DASH Chisako, Leon, and Mari all being down towards the bottom. It seems that some of the struggles was due to lack of matches, as you can only score points if you’re actually wrestling, but at the same time you have to expect a bit more out of each of those wrestlers going forward.
Manami Katsu is still leading the charge for the team this year with a pretty good 135 points, though with the strong start she had to the year, you would have expected her to score quite a few more points by this time of the year. Hina isn’t too far behind her with 123 points which came on the back of her very strong Future of Stardom Championship run that has unfortunately come to an end very recently. We will have to see if she’s still booked pretty strong even without the title in the coming months.

It’s pretty much the same ole song and dance for Hart Editing and their team “Fart Editing” as they once again found themselves scoring almost the lowest number of points in the league and still find themselves down in the cellar for the year. It’s a shame that the team has struggled for so long, but when two of your best point scorers retire early in the year, it’s hard to rebound from that and find wrestlers who will replace that type of productivity.
There was a two-wrestler tie at the top of the standings for the team this month between YUU who has been pretty great all year ever since she came back from her hiatus at the start of the year, and Miu Watanabe who recently regained the Princess of Princess Championship after about nine months away from the title. Both of them scored 22 points which isn’t dominant by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s still quite good for a team that’s struggled to score all year. Lady C and Mari Manji both also had a pretty good month scoring 18+ points.
Things were rather top heavy unfortunately which meant that this team had ten wrestlers who scored under 10 points this month, including three wrestlers who scored two or less points: Aoi, Riko Kawahata, and Flying Penguin. Raku had, had a pretty good year up until now, but unfortunately had a pretty quiet month in September.
YUU is still leading the way with her retirement coming up towards the end of December as she’s scored 134 points thus far for the team, and Risa Sera who is sitting in second place with 122 points is also putting together a pretty good campaign. So far, that’s the only two wrestlers who have gotten over the 100-point mark thus far, but Raku, Mari Manji, and Miu Watanabe are all within striking distance going into the month of October.
CURRENT POINTS
YUU – 134 Points (22)

FREE AGENTS
There was a surprise at the top of the standings when it comes to the free agents list as Matsuzawa-San scored a whopping 29 points this month something that I don’t think anyone would have expected. Usually, she’s treated as just a comedy character who gets beaten up and loses every match which can be shown by the fact that she had only scored eight points up until this past month. Will she continue to win going forward? It’s hard to tell, but if you would have had her in September, you would have been very happy with her output. MICHIKO of GLEAT also had a pretty good month scoring 18 points with the matches she took part in. Rounding out the top three in terms of free agents was Miran who became a champion for the first time as far as I know and that helped her gain 15 points in the month of September. The underage future star has been fun to watch ever since she came back from her hiatus earlier this year, and there’s no telling what kind of heights she’ll achieve as the year comes to a close soon.
TOP 5 IN OVERALL POINTS (FREE AGENTS)
Tank – 83 Points (8)
Arisa Shinose – 80 Points (11)
Aja Kong – 80 Points (9)
Sayaka – 77 Points (6)
Waka Tsukiyama – 76 Points (11)
Sae – 76 Points (9)
Momo Kohgo – 76 Points (8)
With only three months left to go, any one of these wrestlers could be a big pickup to help a team move up in the standings before the league ends. There’s obviously some good talents still out there and the point totals of these wrestlers beat a lot of the lower point scorers on many of the teams, so it will be interesting to see if anyone goes to the waiver wire to pick someone up.
Also, as a side note, next month’s edition of this writeup will be a bit later in the month because I will be in Japan from the 22nd of October until the 12th of November, and I doubt that I’ll want to write all that much while I’m enjoying vacation while watching awesome joshi pro wrestling live in person!
