Who is Pom Harajuku?

For those who are new to Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling, right away you will not understand Pom’s character.

So that’s why i’m here, with this article i will give you an explanation on who Pom Harajuku is and how her character is.

Born March 27th and raised in Harajuku, Pom Harajuku is a forever three year old who is fascinated by the Sanrio character PomPomPurin.

Debuting in TJPW on the 24th of November, 2018, with an adorable attitude and traditional and colorful ring gear from Harajuku, she faced Yuka Sakazaki. Of course, following tradition, Pom didn’t win because she was a rookie.

Even if she didn’t win the match, she left victorious by gaining fans right away with her bubbly personality and with her cute look. The fans loved her.

It’s because of her cute look and bubbly personality that she earned the name “The Harajuku Kawaii Wrestler”.

What makes Pom unique is the fact she is not meant to be this bad-ass who defeats everyone and punishes her opponents like fellow TJPW roster members such as Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima, Mizuki, and other veteran wrestlers.

Now you probably asking, “Well if she is not meant to be this absolute ass kicker bad-ass wrestler, why should give my time and attention to Pom?”

What makes Pom Harajuku a very fascinating member of the TJPW roster is even though she is massively talented and got amazing potential, that isn’t shown every day due to her being a comedy-focused character.

For you to understand Pom properly, you need to keep watching her work in TJPW for a fair amount of time.

What makes Pom super talented is her moves like her Pom de Justice(a jumping leg drop),her shin kicks, her DenDen Drum(punches to her opponents chest like she is playing a drum) and many, many other moves in her arsenal.

Pom challenged for the Princess Tag Team Championships with her “lovable monster” friend Max the Impaler. It’s her friendship with Max the Impaler that brought even more attention from fans.

And Pom’s passion and talent for photography gave her own series of TJPW portraits called “PomTraits” which are 8×10 photos of her fellow TJPW members in casual clothes.

Those photos are taken by Pom herself, and the popularity of her photography series became popular merchandise for TJPW fans.

Of course, she isn’t alone on her TJPW journey. She’s also got her friends like Raku, and that friendship with Raku gave birth to one of the most loved and popular teams in TJPW named “RakuPomu.” Pom is also friends with Yuki Aino.

Because of these friendships with Raku and Yuki Aino you can find her teaming with both Raku and Yuki with regularity.

And to finish off, don’t let Pom’s comedy and bubbly personality fool you. She will take your shins.
